Software Development
Assumed the role of CFO to build the infrastructure of the venture back company. Assimilated an acquisition of an equal sized subsidiary and raised additional venture equity followed by venture debt. Integral part of 100% growth in revenues.
Developed and executed strategic restructuring plans leading to the ultimate survival after the “dot-com” bust.
Post Production and Television Studios
Assumed role of CFO as requested by the financial institutions. As CFO of this post production company, worked with the owners to develop a growth strategy and ultimately provided over $75 million of debt and capital resulting used for revenue growth from $15 million to $25 million, including private equity, mezzanine, and various forms of senior secured debt.
As the CFO of a television studio and post production company for four years, I developed and executed key strategic plans leading to significant growth of the company. The plan resulted in significant increases in working capital and enhanced cash flow, and significant operating efficiency, reduced costs and profitable strategic investments. Provided over $75 million in the form of lines of credit, equipment leasing and mortgage financing. In fact, upon completion of the refinancing of substantially all of the company’s assets, was featured and quoted in Crain’s New York Business. As CFO, was responsible for the finance and accounting teams. Accordingly, evaluated candidates for acquisition and divestiture with the Chief Executive Officer that included financial and operational presentations to prospective investors and financial institutions.
Holding Company
As Chief Financial Officer and controller of a publicly traded holding company for ten years, reported directly to the president and was an integral part of growing the company from revenues of $6 million to $60 million. Provided sufficient working capital by augmenting existing financing to facilitate growth and providing acquisition financing. Also, refinanced the company using debt and equity to acquire companies. In addition, developed and implemented a tax strategy that resulted in significant and recurring savings primarily by using net operating loss carryforwards.
